Degree Hotel Management

The basic objective of the Degree Hotel Management  Programs is to provide competent young men and women with the necessary knowledge, skills, values and attitudes to occupy key operational positions in the hospitality industry. The Programs is designed to train students at managerial levels in the principles and practices of Hotel Management, Food Production, Food and Beverage Service, Front Office, Housekeeping, Computers, Financial Management, Tourism and Travel Management, and Nutrition so as to provide qualified and technical personnel for the Hotel, Catering, Travel and Tourism Industry, Railways, Airlines, Shipping etc. The Bsc Catering Science and Hotel Management is a 3 year full time course it is designed such that class room training is reinforced with on-the-job industrial exposure so as to sufficiently hone the skills and techniques learnt.

Course Details

Duration: 3 Year
Eligibility: A pass in (10+2) Higher Secondary Examinations, conducted by Board of Higher Secondary Education, Tamil Nadu Government or equivalent thereto. ( or )
1. A pass in S.S.L.C. with any one of the following one year certificate course from a recognized Institution & Two years of Industry Experience in a star Category Hotel.

    •  Certificate Course in Food Production
    •  Certificate Course in Food & Beverage Service
    •  Certificate Course in Front Office Management
    •  Certificate Course in House Keeping Management
    •  Certificate Course in Bakery/ Confectionary
    •  Any other certificate course related to Tourism / Hotel Industries
    (or)

2. Any degree of this University or any other recognized University or Any other similar examinations as equivalent thereto are eligible for admission to the first year only.

Hospitality Industry

The hospitality industry includes tourism, travel, and other leisure services, from hotels to cruise ships to restaurants. This broad industry employs millions of workers and brings in billions of dollars annually. There are many careers in the hospitality industry, ranging from entry-level positions like housekeepers and cooks, to senior and executive positions such as hotel controllers and executive chefs.

Hotel Hospitality

The umbrella of hotel hospitality covers everything in the operation and management of a hotel. Personnel in this field work to improve the hotel guest experience by keeping the premises clean and presentable; answering guest questions or fulfilling requests; hosting parties, comedy shows, and music performances; and providing restaurant, bar, and in-room food and drink service. There are several hospitality careers within the hotel hospitality industry. Some common careers to consider include:

Restaurant Hospitality

Tourism Industry
